Have you been to a Mandala Paint Night or picked up a piece of mandala artwork or even one of the DIY Kits by the creative Ariell Stewart? If so, you won’t want to miss this fun & collaborative Mandala Installation that Ariell is putting together for Arts on the Square! Get there early and find Ariell to participate!
Tell us a little about the interactive art installation you’re designing.
Mandalas by Ariell will be offering an interactive art installation at Arts on the Square this year. Anyone attending the event will be welcome to come paint a piece of canvas that will have a printed part of a large scale 4×5 foot mandala painting when all put together. There will be 20 pieces of canvas, paint, brushes and everything needed to create the piece of art available at the event.
Why did you choose mandalas as your theme?
Mandalas are meant to bring peace and represent wholeness, as well as how life comes full circle. Our hopes with this installation is to bring the community together to create a piece of art that represents the creative diversity in our area; that we all make up the bigger picture and by working together we can create something beautiful. When finished the art installation will be hung in Scranton for all to see. (Location TBD).
